Hon. Gen. Odongo Jeje Abubakher Joins Inauguration of NAM Youth Organisation Headquarters

Baku, July 6, 2023 – In a significant milestone within the context of the Ministerial Meeting of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement held in Baku, the inauguration of the Non-Aligned Movement Youth Organisation (NAMYO) headquarters took place. Hon. Gen. Odongo Jeje Abubakher, Uganda's Foreign Minister, had the privilege of accompanying H.E. Jeyhun Bayramov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, to this momentous event.
Distinguished attendees included H.E. Mr. Farid Gayibov, the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and H.E. Mr. Yván Gil Pinto, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, who actively participated in the ceremony. Following the ribbon-cutting, the Ministers were given a tour of the headquarters and its research center.
Mr. Ordukhan Gahramanzade, Chairperson of NAM Youth Organization, presented an overview of the Organization's activities and introduced videos showcasing NAMYO's past events and its newly launched website. H.E. Mr. Bayramov underlined the historic importance of this day for NAM youth worldwide. The event culminated with the esteemed guests signing NAMYO's memory book and receiving symbolic mementos, marking a pivotal moment in NAM's commitment to youth empowerment and cooperation.
